A “Butterfly” life span is 2-4 weeks or less. Mayfly lives only 24 hours. Nevertheless butterflies are loved by everyone. Even if it is dead, some may like to keep it inside their books. We love to give it a hug or touch it because it is very beautiful, whether alive or lifeless, doesn’t matter: it is a symbol of good luck, romantic love or platonic love.
On the other hand “Snake” whatever good qualities it has we are scared to even go near to it. Will anyone would like to touch a snake or keep a dead snake inside their book. Loud No.
So what is the difference?
Another example- You can go near to the cow and do namaskaram. But will you do the same for the tiger? Certainly not!
What could be the difference?
Because everything is Atman and Atman is everything. So Cow and Tiger, Butterfly and Snake are Atmans!!! So the difference is only in the level of consciousness.
Atman and Consciousness are different just like the Sun and Sunlight.
Likewise both morally good and Moronic People are made by the same Atman, while you respect the God dwelling in them, you may also have to keep a distance with them for your own sake.
